KCP Distributes KOCOWA on Cox

Cox now provides access to a broad range of Korean Entertainment including Dramas, Reality, and K-Pop

LOS ANGELES, July 9, 2020 – The Korea Content Platform, Inc. (KCP), a joint venture between the top three Korean broadcasters (KBS, MBC, and SBS), will now deliver KOCOWA’s exclusive Korean entertainment programs to Cox Contour customers nationwide. KOCOWA is the ultimate destination for programming direct from Korea and has the best library content of Korean dramas, romantic comedies, and reality series all with premium quality English subtitles.

Providing access through Cox’s industry-leading Contour TV platform supports KCP’s goal to deliver KOCOWA content to more US consumers across multiple platforms, while also reaching new audiences. KOCOWA is now available to 55 million potential subscribers across the USA. The strategic distribution deal with Cox will also align with KCP in key markets like California, Virginia, and Florida. KOCOWA is available for $6.99 per month with an impressive line-up that will include current hits like “Good Casting,” “Stove League,” “Running Man,” “Home Alone,” as well as classics like “Coffee Prince,” “Dr. Romantic,” and “Rooftop Prince.”

“Cox has a loyal base of engaged customers who seek unique and entertaining shows. We are very pleased to be partnering with them,” said KCP CEO, KunHee Park. “KOCOWA has been well received by US consumers, and with the addition of Cox, we’re excited to bring Korea’s best content and entertainment to an eager domestic audience.”

KOCOWA is the exclusive IP holder of 10,000 plus hours of content. KOCOWA programming is available shortly after its original airtime in Korea, making it the preferred place for fans to discover something new or watch their favorite programs as soon as possible. The majority of KOCOWA viewers in the US are diverse, younger than 40 years of age, and female. These factors make KOCOWA’s titles like, “The King of Mask Singer” and “The Good Doctor,” the international successes they are today. The partnership with Cox will be ideal for capturing the attention of viewers in search of something new and exciting.
